Minhas queridas amigAs,
parece meio sem sentido parabenizá-las pelo seu dia, afinal de contas como ficam os outros 364 dias do ano? O barato dessa data é a isonomia de tratamento de seu significado, sua abrangência. Ou seja, hoje não falamos das mães, filhas, engenheiras, donas de casa, executivas, jornalistas e assim vai. Falamos de mulheres, de vocês, independente de seus títulos, papéis, rotinas, etc..
Não importa a razão dessa data existir. Se há um fundo histórico, se por apelo comercial ou se alguém realmente percebeu a magnitude desse ser de tão múltiplas e antagônicas características. Vocês conseguem ser ao mesmo tempo simples e complexas, corajosas e precavidas, fortes e sensíveis, determinadas/agressivas e dóceis, românticas e racionais, mãe e pai...Impressionante. Na verdade um dia devia ser nosso, dos homens e os outros dedicados a vcs. Afinal de contas, adaptando um velho ditado: "364 homens não são para uma mulher o que 1 mulher é para 364 homens."

It sounds to me a little strange to congratulate you all for this March, 8th. What about the other 364 days of the year? Maybe the special thing about this date is it's democratic and wide coverage. I mean, we are not talking only about mothers, daughters, engineers, housewives, executives, journalists and so on. We talk about you women, does not matter your titles, roles, routines, etc..
It is not important where this date came from. If it has some historical reason, commercial interests or if someone has really realized the magnitude of such human being, full of multiples and antagonistic characteristics.
You can be, at the same time, simple and complex, brave and cautious, strong and sensitive, determined/agressive and sweet, romantic and rational, mother and father...Amazing. The matter of the fact is that we men should deserve only one day and you all the other days of the whole year. Well, just adapting a local saying, "364 men does not do for a woman what a woman does for 364 men."
